Anamar Adventures was born on the water. We’re a Puerto Vallarta based sailing company and our crew has over 20 years of local experience, offering private boat tours, catamaran rentals, and sailing adventures across Banderas Bay.
We are not a big party boat operation. Every tour we offer is private, meaning your group gets the full boat, a dedicated crew, and an experience built around what you actually want, whether that´s snorkeling at Los Arcos, watching humpback whales breach in the bay, or enjoying the sunset on our cocktail sail as the sky turns orange over Puerto Vallarta.

Where do the tours depart from?
All tours and charters depart from Marina Vallarta. We can also arrange pickups at Nuevo Vallarta, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, and Los Muertos Pier for an additional fee.
What is the difference between a Tour and a Boat Rental?
Our Adventures (whale watching, snorkel & sail, sunset cocktail sail, Las Animas seafood sailing, and overnight catamaran) are guided experiences with a set itinerary, crew, and inclusions like food and drinks. Boat Rentals are private charters where you hire the vessel and crew and design your own itinerary. Fully flexible, fully yours.
What time do tours depart?
Whale watching and snorkel & sail tours depart between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. Sunset cocktail sails depart between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Private charters and boat rentals depart at a time of your choosing.
When is whale watching season in Puerto Vallarta?
Humpback whale season in Banderas Bay runs from December through March, January and February being peak whale watching season. This is when whales migrate to the warm Pacific waters to breed and give birth. We highly recommend booking in advance as spots fill up quickly during peak season.
Where do you go snorkeling?
We snorkel at Los Arcos National Marine Park, a protected sanctuary south of Puerto Vallarta known for its rock formations and rich marine life. Depending on conditions we may also visit El Paredon Beach, a quieter spot with clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Do you actually sail on the tours?
Absolutely! And we love it. We sail on wind power whenever conditions allow, which is most of the time on Banderas Bay. Sailing means a quieter, smoother, and more authentic experience on the water. No loud engine noise, no diesel fumes,just the sound of the wind and the sea. It’s one of the things our guests remember most.
Are the tours private?
Yes! Every single experience we offer is 100% private. You will never share a boat with strangers. When you book with Anamar Adventures, the boat is yours and yours alone.
What is included in the price?
All adventures include food and non-alcoholic drinks (lunch box, snacks, juices, water, and coffee depending on the tour). Alcoholic beverages, gratuities, and pickup from alternative marinas are not included unless specified at booking.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 1 week in advance, especially during whale watching season (December–March) and Semana Santa. For overnight catamaran experiences, 3 weeks advance notice is ideal due to limited availability.
